Answer the following questions:

1. Who wandered like a lonely cloud and where?

Ans.        The poet wandered like a lonely cloud when he waswalking around through the hills and valleys.

2. Where were the daffodils and what were they doing ?

Ans.        The daffodils were by the side of a lake and they were dancing with gay.

3. What has been compared to the stars and why? (stanza 2)

Ans.        The daffodils have been compared to the stars asthey stretch continuosly without a break like the stars.

4. Describe in your own words the poet’s feeling when he sees the host of golden daffodils?

Ans.        The poet's loneliness was replaced by joy when he saw the daffodils dancing.

5. What happens to the poet when he is something in a pensive mood?

Ans.        When the poet is sometimes in a pensive mood he moves suddenly into the future back from the lake and the windy day. First he sets the science he often sits on his couch, kind of feeling plan about life with no great thoughts and sights. Sometimes his mind is empty and vacant and thinks kind of sad thoughts.

Ans.          

1. Host : One who entertains a guest. A good host is always considerate of the guest's needs.

2. Float: To cause something to be suspended in a liquid of greater density. The boat floated on the water.

3. Beneath : below or underneath. There is river beneath the bridge.

4. Stretch: To lengthen by pulling. I stretched the rubber band until it almost broken.

5. Sparkling : Brilliant gleam. The stars are sparkling in the sky.

6. Margin: Border. Please, Draw the margin at the side of the paper.
